The full Agafay experience: quad biking and a sunset camel ride in the desert, then mint tea, a Moroccan dinner and a live show at camp. Hotel pickup included.
This is our complete Agafay evening, combining the three things everyone wants to do in the desert near Marrakech. The Agafay is a stony desert plateau about 40 km south-west of the city, a 45-minute drive away, with rolling ochre hills, the High Atlas peaks on the horizon and the Lalla Takerkoust lake in the distance.
After hotel pickup and a welcome mint tea at the camp, you get your helmet and a short safety briefing, then ride a quad bike for about an hour on desert tracks with a guide in front. No experience is needed. Then you swap engines for camels: a calm ride of around 30 minutes over the hills as the sun goes down.
Back at camp, dinner is served: Moroccan salads, a tagine and fruit or pastries. The evening ends around the campfire with a live show of traditional Moroccan and Berber music, drums and folk dancing, before the transfer back to Marrakech.
